Brandon Etienne, Band DirectorBrandon Etienne is in his fifth year of teaching and his second as Band Director at Shelby West Middle School. Prior to teaching in the Shelby County Schools he served as Assistant Director of Bands at Henderson County High School in Henderson, KY and as Band Director at Owensboro North Middle School in Owensboro, KY. Mr. Etienne holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and a Master of Art in Teaching Degree, both from the University of Louisville. He graduated with honors in 2013.
Mr. Etienne's bands have consistently received distinguished ratings both on the concert stage and the marching field. Mr. Etienne is a member of the National Association for Music Education and the Kentucky Music Educators Association. He performs regularly as a member of the trombone section in the professional ensemble The Louisville Concert Band, including performances at the Midwest National Band and Orchestra Clinic in 2013 and the Kentucky Music Educators Association Conference in 2017. He also performs with the Henderson Community Band in Henderson, KY. Mr. Etienne has had the opportunity to perform and study under wonderful teachers and would like to thank those who have shaped and inspired him throughout his career: Dr. Amy Acklin, Dr. Fred Speck, Dr. Brett Shuster, Mrs. Kimcherie Lloyd, Mr. Paul Shepherd, Mr. Brad Rogers, Mr. Edward Hauser, and Mrs. Katie Hauser. |
